Creative & Wildlife Photography Camp - Mangalajodi & Bhubaneswar (14-15 Nov '09)

Note: This camp was our previous camp which was conducted on Nov 14th-15th 2009.

A 2-day camp which lets you be the rockstar behind the camera and even the Wildlife Photographer armed with an SLR waiting for the kingfisher to touch down on the lake.

MANGALAJODI

Mangalajodi is a winter habitat for thousands of migratory birds who flock every year to spend the winter season and breed. It is located in the Chilka lagoon, Asia’s largest estuarine eco-system experiencing water and migratory birds. A virgin forest, swampy lands and a absolute bird lover's delight. Some highlights of the camp are:

1. Day-1 would be spent in covering some basics about creative and wildlife photography both indoors and outdoors. The course contents are

I. Introduction to Photography

II. Understanding the Camera

III. Understanding Different fields of Photography

IV. Editing & Putting it all together

2. Learn all this from the Photography Expert - Mr. Ghani Zaman

-with over 25 years of professional experience behind the camera.

-who has been associated with The Statesmen, Times of India & Reuters. Winner of the Millennium Photo contest in USA 2000.

-a soft skills trainer too armed with a sense of humor that always clicks!

3. Day 1 would also include few informal sessions with professional photo editors and photographers from the industry.

4. Day 2 would be in Mangalajodi, clicking migratory birds from boats and from the bird watching tower. Exotic local seafood to be served : Crabs, Prawn and fish.

And a rare chance to see migratory birds from Siberia.

12.30PM Lunch

3.30PM Return to Bhubaneswar

6.00PM-9.00PM Learning from pictures

9.00PM Dinner

THINGS TO CARRY

Camera (its better if your access to an SLR film or Digital SLR camera), enough memory sticks,

Your previous photographs (hardcopy or softcopy), Laptops (if you want), Sunscreen, Full-sleeve clothing (preferably dark colored), Umbrella.

PARTICIPATION FEES : Rs.2500 (without accomodation)
