MANGALAJODI

Mangalajodi is a winter habitat for thousands of migratory birds who flock every year to spend the winter season and breed. It is located in the Chilka lagoon, Asia’s largest estuarine eco-system experiencing water and migratory birds. A virgin forest, swampy lands and a absolute bird lover's delight. Mangalajodi – A village on the banks of Northern Chilika, hosts over 400000 birds of 200 different species. Ecotourism is initiated with a mission to provide livelihood to communities involved in conservation of the precious Mangalajodi wetland.
